Our privacy policy

The Paradigm Project provides this policy so that you can be aware of our security practices and the way your personal information is collected and used. Any changes to the privacy policy will be sent to the email listed on your account. You are welcome to remove your name from our mailing lists at any time. Simply follow the unsubscribe directions and we will remove your name from the mailing list within 5 working days.

Your Information

Instances in which your information is collected:

When you e-mail us or fill out an online form requesting information or materials from our organization.
When you fill out an online form requesting a subscription such as an email newsletter.
When you make a donation we collect information for tax receipting purposes.
When you purchase carbon offsets from us we collect information for receipting and reporting purposes.

The online information we collect from you includes your name, address, city, state, zip, telephone number(s), email address, and when making a donation or purchase, a credit card number. Credit card information is not directly collected by Paradigm or stored on our database. Instead, when you make a donation or purchase offsets from us, our partners at Stripe handle the transaction, collect your payment data on our behalf and handle all secure transaction procedures. How we use it

Your information is used ONLY to facilitate your involvement with The Paradigm Project. We never sell or distribute your information to 3rd parties other than as required (a) by law, or (b) as a function of completing a transaction. Credit card numbers are only used for processing payments and donations through our 3rd party partner, Stripe.

How we protect it

The Paradigm Project makes every effort to ensure the security of your information. To prevent unauthorized access, maintain data accuracy, and ensure the proper use of information, we have established and implemented appropriate physical, electronic, and managerial procedures to safeguard and secure the information we collect online.

The Paradigm Project and its secure transaction partner(s) use Internet Encryption Software, Secure Socket Layer (SSL) Protocol when collecting or transferring sensitive data such as credit card information. Any information you enter is encrypted at your browser, sent over the public Internet in encrypted form, then de-encrypted at our secure transaction partner servers.

Removing your name from our mailing list

The Paradigm Project wants to engage donors, fans and customers in meaningful conversation about our activities and your involvement in those activities. If at any time that communication is unwanted, Paradigm allows you to opt-out of any mailing list that you have previously opted-in to. There will be an opt-out link at the bottom of every newsletter or mass emailing that you may receive from The Paradigm Project.
